Enable Infrastructure engineer nominated for Construction News award

2 June 2022

We are delighted that one of our own, Yalini Sithambaranathan, will soon walk the orange carpet having been nominated in this year’s Construction News Award in the Rising Stars category for her work on both the Liverpool Street Station platform extensions project and her internal leadership in promoting women and young people within our company.

In particular, she helped bring about the Women in Enable working group last year, after the tragic murder of Sarah Everard, to support and foster greater opportunities for women and raise awareness within the company. Her stellar contribution in this regard has already resulted in significant changes and as a young woman of colour, she is seeking to inspire further change within the construction world. We are very proud to have her as part of our team.

Yalini said “I feel very honoured to be nominated and extremely proud to be shortlisted within this category. I would like to thank BCM and Enable for giving me the opportunities that have led to my nomination.”

Shane O’Halloran, Managing Director, said: “We are all extremely proud of Yalini and it’s wonderful to see her efforts recognised, firstly by our internal teams, and subsequently by the panel of judges in the wider Construction Industry. Win, lose or draw, we will be proud of Yalini and will celebrate and support her efforts.”

We have every finger crossed for July the 14th at the award ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. Good luck Yali!
