Enable Infrastructure (formerly known as BCM Construction) Complete Watch My Back 2021.

Watch my Back is Enable Infrastructure’s self-developed and self-delivered Behavioural Safety, Health and Environmental engagement programme.

Running since 2012, it brings together our delivery teams, to help share learning and best practice.

On Thursday 10th June, we held our first virtual session bringing together 37 Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineers, Site Managers and HSQE specialists on Zoom to focus on key safety, environment and engineering aspects across the business.

“We’re thrilled to have continued the success of previous ‘Watch My Back’ sessions despite the challenges of COVID. The event is a fantastic opportunity for senior management and project teams to come together outside the conventional working environment and this year didn’t disappoint.

We showcased the value of the COMET root cause investigation tool to highlight trends in incidents and identified areas of focus to prevent them. We had detailed discussions on what our company values meant to each one of us. Sessions on good communication, environmental planning and engineering contingency planning & quality assurance followed.

And a session on mental health & wellbeing generated incredibly important conversation, the personal challenges faced by members of the Enable Infrastructure family really hit home the hidden issues and challenges our colleagues are facing.
